NEXTDC launches DCIM-as-a-Service tool for colocation visibility

Summary: Australia’s NEXTDC will release its ONEDC data centre infrastructure management-as-a-service (DCIMaaS) platform into general availability in April. ONEDC is a central cloud-based software platform that can connect any device in any data centre environment to provide real-time data centre intelligence in the cloud and replace multiple systems and management tools. Features include infrastructure visualisation and management, connectivity tracking, predictable planning, power monitoring, environmental monitoring, access management, alerts and notifications, reporting and service management. A good example of how analytics and user experience are areas where colocation providers can add value and differentiate.
